ad:tech New York is a once a year conference at the Javits Center where technology, marketing and media professionals converge to network with valuable companies, clients and competitors. The Lumascape always changing as companies form, evolve and pivot. This gives the conference a very unique and fresh feel every year while still retaining the nostalgia that comes along with seeing familiar faces in a monster industry that keeps exponentially growing with the culture evolving every year.
Over the course of two days and nights seasoned digital marketing veterans and adtech neophytes will wander the aisles at the conference looking to close that next big deal, meet clients they have made a ton of money for but never met in person or discover the most innovative new tech product. Keynote speakers and industry thought leaders will preach to the masses and stir up great conversation. Thousands of business cards will be exchanged.

The best part about adtech is of course the free stuff. Marketing departments of the companies who rent a booth, come up with creative nick nacks that become office toys to throw at co workers, pens for signing lucrative contracts, or gifts to random people. New York City is the mecca for ad agencies and media companies. This puts a lot of pressure on start-ups and growing companies who bank on making an impact at adtech to solidify their spot in the industry.
The digital media industry is filled with so many legends, heroes, villains friends and foes which makes the event an epic gathering of all of the characters who make up this digital universe.
It’s the year 2014 and when I hear someone mention all can think about are parties. adtech has it’s own subculture and comes alive at night. The goliath companies host RSVP ad:tech events at clubs and large venues to promote their company, show the industry a great time create a memorable networking event.
