You don’t have to play the violin or draw pictures to be creative, says researcher and sociologist Tracey Brower. Creativity can be found in everything where your talents are attracted: at work, in society or at home.

About the relationship between creativity and happiness

As numerous studies have shown, there is a relationship between creativity and happiness.

So, a team of Australian scientists proved that mental health and well-being improve through more creative activities. The study showed that when people engage in artistic activities, they experience an increase in positive emotions and a decrease in negative ones. As a result, this leads to general happiness.

And an experiment by scientists at the University of Otago showed that people who do creative things generally have more positive feelings.

In addition, art can provide an impetus to find ways to satisfy the brain, according to a study by scientists from Drexel University. Even drawing some kind of doodles creates additional blood flow to the reward centers of the brain, which makes people feel happier and more confident in their art. At the same time, it increases the desire to engage in additional creative pursuits.
