AdSecure adds new Blacklist URL detection and search engine filter feature

Adsecure blacklist Press Release

9 October 2019 Dublin, Ireland. AdSecure, the ad verification solution used by ad networks, ad operations teams and publishers has released a new Blacklist URL detection feature.

Blacklists are commonly used to protect
computer systems and infrastructures against online threats such as phishing,
malware or webspam. These lists are principally curated and maintained by
search engines, antivirus authorities and security organizations. These lists
include information about the abusive URLs or IPs and the type of violations
that can be lying in wait.

The new feature detects blacklisted urls on
Norton Safe Web, Google Safe Browsing, McAfee, Sucuri Labs, ESET, PhishTank,
Yandex, Opera, and Spamhaus.

AdSecure’s Sales Manager Bryan Taylor
commented, “ Our Blacklist URL detection will provide deeper insights into the
security of every URL in a given ad redirection chain, and overtime we will be
routinely adding more data from other providers to continually enhance
detection.”

This Blacklist URL detection is classified as
a user security violation and is available now to all AdSecure clients.

AdSecure has also introduced a new internal
search engine and filter feature on the platform. The new feature enables
clients to search for name, analysis ID, URL submitted, locations, and devices.

AdSecure’s Product Manager Mat Derval
commented, “Clients can now combine several search elements at the same time to
narrow down their results, for example, by typing the following query:
“domain.com france iphone” – will return analyses where domain.com
was the URL submitted, in France with iPhone as the device.”

Derval continued, “In addition to our new
search field, we are also adding the ability to filter your analyses by date.
To do so, simply click on the date filter and select the range of dates from
the calendar. You can select any single date, or choose a range of dates from
the last 30 days, allowing for a broader, or highly specific, date filter as
needed.”
